Our Mission
The Mission of the Shriners is to be: The Premiere Fraternal Organization for men of good character Committed to providing attractive, quality programs and services for its membership, their families and friends in a spirit of fun, fellowship and social camaraderie Fostering self improvement through leadership, education, the perpetuation of moral values and community involvement Serving mankind through the resources of its great philanthropy, the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
HELPING KIDS WITH FREE MEDICAL CARE SINCE 1922
The Shriners are a dedicated group of men who are supporting our network of 22 hospitals for kids throughout North America. There are currently many patients from Alberta being treated at various Shrine Hospitals, including the Canadian hospital in Montreal. We have a number of units from our Shrine, including our Mounted Patrol, who perform a musical ride at various venues throughout Stampede week, our airplanes, Tin Lizzies, our Provost Corps and our newest edition, our Segway patrol.
We also have members of the masonic community, from where the Shriners draws their members. The Shriners are also active in the community, providing bursaries for post secondary students in need.
